So You've Made It To Wynwood - Now What?

Gabriel and I love heading east to a nearby neighborhood known for their outlandish street art. You can read previous posts on why we love the area

here

 and

here

.

As

mentioned on Friday

, my family came to visit this past weekend, and among a few other stops, we made sure to visit Wynwood. What a treat!

If you have yet to venture to Miami and are planning on coming in the spring/summer, please dress accordingly. Spring/summer can be pretty HOT, friends.

Think tropical island weather.

You won't find me in anything but tanks, shorts and dresses come mid April.

Upon arrival to Wynwood -

1// Park along the street. Most of the parking is pay to park so make sure you double check.

2// For lunch,  grab a few

tacos at Coyo

. Fast, fresh, authentic and moderately priced.

3// After lunch, walk a few blocks north to

Wynwood Walls

(

free admission

) - Area filled with giant murals by street artists from around the world. The art changes pretty regularly, so don't be surprised if you don't see the same mural twice.

4// Try to spot an artist doing their thing live! You can get a

free

glimpse into the mind of an artist.

5// After spending an hour or so walking around, land a shady spot with a cup of our favorite

local coffee.

This is a great spot to chat, read a book, check a few emails or our favorite - people watch!

6// After your coffee break,  walk down the other side of the street and check out

Wynwood Block

which includes a few boutiques and other shops.

7// Side note: If after spending an entire day in Wynwood has inspired you to source a hip/inexpensive pair of reading glasses while in town, check out

Warby Parker

! I purchased my Warby's a few months back before the spot opened in Wynwood.

Happy Monday Friends!
