The Dangerous Side of Florida

Living in Florida your entire life,  seeing an alligator on the side of the road is almost as common as seeing a palm tree - until yesterday that is...while on a class field trip to the Everglades National Park, I gained a whole new respect for these creatures (guess it was the having to protect a class of 1st graders while there). Talk about gator overload!!!

 

Couldn't forget my caffeine fix before the day started!

In other news...while on winter break this week I went to my favorite spot in Miami - Matheson Hammock Park. It's a quite little spot in the middle of my favorite neighborhood (Coral Gables). It's actually where they filmed part of There's Something About Mary. You should check it out sometime if you're ever in the area!

I hope you have a sweet weekend! Gabriel just got back from his business trip so I will be spending the whole weekend with him, enduring renovations, working on our house, enjoying church, golfing, sleeping and eating ;)
