Have a sweet weekend!! I will be heading over to Tampa after work with my future mother in law and sister in law for the shower tomorrow. I can't wait to see all of my family!

Air Condition...Check!

I am happy to announce, we are NOW the proud owners of  central heat and air!! Thanks to my future in laws for their wedding gift to us, we can now get rid of our wall units in the house.

I know I promised you pictures of the windows & doors too, but they aren't quite ready yet! AND to add icing on the cake, wedding invitations are going out tomorrow! Fingers crossed!

Oh the little things, so often taken for granted...

Sweet Day!

Can it be??

I can't even believe it is finally here! Today we are getting our new windows and doors installed along with our central heat and air!!

Bye Bye 1960s. Hello 2012. Check back tomorrow for some pictures of the progress!

Birthday Banana Bread

I love weekends filled with simple pleasures: baking, coffee drinking, shopping and blogging...and this is the exact kind of weekend I had. On Saturday morning, I wanted to make and early present for my fiance, since his birthday was right around the corner (Today) hard to forget that date, I know.

What better than to make his favorite thing in the world, fresh banana bread! I first made this for him when we started dating and he couldn't get enough of it. Now here is the funny part, he doesn't really like sweets, and he HATES bananas. Go figure, but he sure LOVES his banana bread.

Banana Bread

2 1/3 c. bisquick
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/3 c. vegetable oil
3 eggs
3 very ripe bananas (I literally wait until they've turned black)

1. Preheat oven to 350.
2.. Mix all ingredients together in large boil with an electric mixer.
3. Pour into a greased 9x5in loaf pan.
4. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes.
5. Let cool & serve.

Hope you enjoy this simple and satisfying treat!

Warning: After you bake, your house will be filled with a delicious fresh bread scent for the entire day! :)

Happy Birthday Bubba! I love you.

Welcome Fall Fashion

Living in Miami, I don't really need to wear warm clothes...so, I find other ways to improvise with color. I love outfits like this one because it is very versatile. I can wear my cardigan inside the classroom to keep warm, but still have the option of taking it off outside. I also love the comfort a maxi skirt provides. Especially working with 1st graders, you find yourself spending a lot of reading time on the floor.

This week I will be working on a fall wreath for our new front door! I can't wait to show you.

What's your favorite thing about fall?
