Same goes for your business cards. Before we opened our paper co and still to this day, we keep a drawer full of our favorite business cards - why? Because they ARE just too beautiful to toss. The upside to this for owners is: tons of contacts at our finger tips!

WE ARE MOVING!

Did the title get'cha? No need to fret. We adore our little home and will be staying in it for a while! BUT....

On Monday, our little blog is moving over to a new domain (!!) We've used blogger for the last 3 years (tear!) and although it's done a fine job, we are extra excited to link our current blog with our company website. What a relief it will be to streamline both.

In other news, Gabriel and I are looking forward to attending The Knot's new + improved website launch event at a swanky

venue

The Art of Modern Calligraphy

Each piece is designed by hand in our studio, and we also offer many choices from envelope styles to ink colors.

So what is modern calligraphy?

Modern Calligraphy can be created through the use of traditional quill/nibs, brush stroke pens or metallic markers. It is the combination of thin upward strokes and heavy downward strokes. Best know for its whismy, free spirited nature and use of heavy flourishes.

Modern calligraphy is currently used on many book jacket designs, invitations, envelopes, place cards & wall art. If you are interested in having work created, we are currently taking inquiries at erica@inspiredbyabove.com.

Every Print Has A Story

Have I ever mentioned my love for creating custom prints? It usually goes a little something like this. 

Client - "Hi Erica,  lately I've been dealing with (blah, blah, blah) and want a print created as a reminder of all I've overcome through this trying time." 

or "Erica, I am renovating my office and want to bring meaning and life to my space." 

or my favorite "Erica, my husband and I are expecting twins and want meaningful, delicate scriptures poured on the walls to remind our babies how much we love them." 

All have a story. Personal + unique. All a reason as to why they want their words on display. What an honor it is to be in their story.  Thank you friends for including me in YOUR stories. What a treasure!
