:: High Five for Friday ::

First Friday of the month!

When I think of July, I think of the beach. In exactly one week, I will be packing my bags and heading to Siesta Key with my fiance and our families. I am so excited for a week filled with absolutely nothing
...........................

Linking up with Lauren @ My Grey Desk for this week's Top 5:

{1} My sissy is in town this week! One of the things we did together was go to Bill Bags State Park in Key Biscayne, that was founded in 1825. My favorite part of this beach was the historical light house - isn't it just picture perfect?

{2} I had the best lemonade icee in the world! After a very hot day at the beach, sis and I stopped in the Grove and got this icee that I've heard about since I moved to Miami. Now I see why - It was ridiculous.

{3} Completed a lemon cream cheese cupcake order! I love themed orders.

{4} I bought a new bathing suite top for our upcoming Siesta Key trip! I love strapless bathing suites. No tan lines for the wedding dress allowed.

{5} My parents are in town this week too! Thanks for all of your hard work this week & helping paint the house!

...........................

We are off to Ft. Lauderdale for the weekend to spend some time at the beach. See what I mean about July & beach?? Have a great weekend!!!

My Sissy

Today my best friend is in town. My sissy. Although we are 7 years apart, our relationship has always been strong. To be honest, sometimes I feel like I am the little sister - with her wise advice & always keeping me in line when I go shopping.

Wanna see something funny?
This was us with our dad 14 years ago... Yes, I am the sweet one & she is the one with an attitude. Some things never change. Kidding of course.

...........

Sissy & I will be going to the beach today & working on the house together! I love when she comes to visit me!

A lifelong bond...

Today I realized why I joined a sorority, all those 4 years ago.

Not for the frills, matching colors, or stitched letters...

I joined to find girls like me - girls with similar interests, faith and morals.

I'm not sure if a sorority does this for everyone, but this is what my sorority did for me.

Every chapter meeting, sisterhood, philanthropy or social would have meant nothing without the women that I grew to love while there.

And now that the chapter in my life of college has come to an end, my relationships will remain. We hold a special bond that will never be lost, no matter how far we life or how long we go without catching up.

 ............

If you ever get the chance to join a sorority, do it. Don't listen to all of the negatives. Take a chance & just join. Your membership will mean more to you once you've graduated & are long gone.

Last weekend, one of my sisters came down to Miami to work on my hair. {As soon as I got engaged, I asked if she would do my hair for the wedding. She is such an amazing stylist.} Thank you sweet Kelsey for coming to do my wedding trial. You are a truly special sister. I can't wait to see everything finished on the big day.
